All UNC employees, including student employees, are required to participate in direct deposit in order to receive a paycheck per the University’s Payroll Direct Deposit Policy. It is important to verify that a student employee has set up or updated their direct deposit information on their first day of work to ensure they are able to appropriately log time worked and receive their first paycheck on time. Visit the UNC Finance and Operations Employee Direct Deposit Guide for more information and instructions on how to set up and revise direct deposit information.

Payroll Schedules

The classification of a student employee’s job determines how often they will receive a paycheck. Typically, jobs that are classified as SHRA receive a paycheck biweekly, and jobs that are classified as EHRA receive a paycheck monthly. Visit Payroll Services to access pay date calendars for SHRA, EHRA, and Summer positions.
